The brass bells are cast in the northern Indian State of Uttar Pradesh; which is well known for quality brass manufactories. The remaining parts, such as chains, hooks, coins, and medallions are made in Mumbai (Bombay) on the west coast. There the belts are assembled for export. By removing the back-middle waist medallion you can adjust the size of the belt down by two inches.
