 changed my attitude about dance class Jan 10, 2010
previously i had to tape my feet, since they'd get torn up dancing barefoot. i tried dance shoes, but couldn't feel the floor sufficiently. i tried other foot protection products, but they just slipped around and made things worse. tape worked the best, but tended to roll and still prevented a good feeling of the floor. since african dance is all about feeling the drums and the movement, i would usually tear off the tape by the end of class and hope i hadn't done it too soon.
dance paws changed everything. even though the holes aren't in the perfect place for me, so it takes some careful trimming to get them to fit correctly, they still have completely changed my attitude about class. i put them on and don't think about my feet - just dance!
i prefer the type with extra traction, but if you do a lot of turns then the regular style is best.

Can't use my dance paws, it's way too small and I don't want to pay for the shipping to exchange it.

These are great. I like to dance barefoot but it's a little hard to slide on the floor for pirouettes and the like unless you have crazy callouses. You can move freely in these and they protect the ball of your feet when dancing. Great for contemporary dancing. Love 'em!
